“Chris is an amazing tutor!
Our experience with her has been fantastic. She made the Barton method of reading and spelling both fun and educational. My three children all struggled with reading but have made remarkable progress and now love to read on their own. Chris's patience, creative teaching methods, and encouragement made all the difference.
Each of my children struggles in a different way. Despite ADHD, FASD, and dyslexia challenges, Chris kept them engaged and excited to learn. She was upbeat and had such a positive attitude that the kids were always engaged and excited to show up. I can’t thank her enough for fostering a love of reading in my children.
I highly recommend Chris to any parent looking for a kind, skilled, and educated tutor.”

“I know I can rely on Chris to work with my child in a meaningful and effective way. She has an excellent manner with kids and knows how to combine activities in a way that they can learn from while still having fun. She communicates clearly about timing and schedules and gives me updates whenever I ask.
The Barton program has given my son a solid foundation in spelling and literacy. I highly recommend this program, and Chris is an excellent teacher and facilitator for your child's learning.”

From the student:
“Chris makes it fun!
I started out wondering how I could even spell these words, but then she taught me how to sound them out. Here's the trick: she showed me that some letters are vowels. Once you know the sounds, it's a lot easier to spell the words, too. When I practiced spelling the words in my journal a couple of times, then I knew how to spell them.”
